Calipso
The first witness — present before the Chains were named, when Noise first became memory.
Before the Chains were named, she stood where Noise first echoed.
Calipso is not a ruler, and not a judge. She is the first record — the gaze that remained when creation had not yet agreed on its own rules. Where others act, Calipso observes. Where others command, Calipso remembers.
In the earliest moments, when the universe was still forming its language, Calipso stood at the edge of meaning and watched the first patterns repeat. From her comes the quiet truth that canon is not written by force, but by what survives being witnessed.
To encounter Calipso is to feel the pressure of origin: the sense that everything has already been seen once before. Her presence does not threaten — it clarifies. Not with answers, but with the certainty that nothing truly disappears once it has been observed.
